I’m Going to RailsConf 2009!

Posted March 11, 2009 - By Shawn Cheatham | 2 Comments

It’s been nearly a year since I first dipped a toe into the Ruby on Rails community. What started as vague curiosity has exploded into full-on fascination with all things RoR, so it was that I decided to attend RailsConf. While I’m not a professional engineer, nor do I aspire to be, I think the conference will be a great learning opportunity that lends itself to being a stronger Agilist and Scrum Product Owner. Also, since I’ve been working on a rails app (shh!) it’ll be fun to swap experiences, not to mention, meet people in person that I’ve been reading/watching/listening to over the past year.

See you there!

    Hi,

Signed up for RailsConf 2009 this past weekend. Three of our team members will be travelling from India for the RailsConf.
This will be my third railsconf, and I would miss Portland. Never been to Vegas, but I guess I like Portland more.

Just wanted to say hello and that maybe we can meetup for a drink or two at the RailsConf. It would be good to learn from your Scrum Product Owner experience and apply the learning to our distributed development and remote development setup.

    Thanks.

You dog! Should be a great time. Wish I could swing the trip. I should have gone when it was in Portland, as it’s only 5 hrs away.
