Happy 4th of July! Enjoy the BBQ, yard darts and fireworks! If you need a break from the festivities, here are a few things going on behind the scenes at Rubis that you won’t want to miss.
First up, you may have noticed our new website design. We’re continuing to iron out the kinks, so let us know if you see something amiss. Revamping the site was long overdue but time constraints and other priorities took over. Take a look around and let us know what you think.
In order to support our “work anywhere” approach at Rubis we’ve now have a proper toll free number. Until now we’ve been using Google Voice and will continue to do so locally but I have a sneaking suscpicion that when Google Voice is inevitably rolled into Google Apps, it may not be exactly what we need for a main telephone line. Give us a call at 888-841-1935
After two years in San Francisco it’s time for a change in scenery. Although the details are still being finalized, the deal is all but done. I’ll be moving Rubis headquarters to New York over the next two months. The decision wasn’t made lightly but it’s a fairly easy transition that is bound to stir up some exciting opportunities.
Things at Rubis will continue as normal i.e. we’re still hell bent on helping SMB’s into the the Google Apps cloud. To some people, a move of this distance might seem jarring, “How can you just pick up and relocate? What about your customers? How will it impact your business?” Well friends, one of the cornerstone initiatives of Rubis is to build a location independent business. Fortunately, the Rubis solution offering has a much easier time of relocating than I do which is yet another reason why Google Apps rocks! Stay tuned for more thoughts on taking Google Apps on the road.
Cheers! Now lets go celebrate our freedom!
Thanks to Ed Yourdon for the New York City fireworks image!
